Two people were killed after a tractor fell into a roadside ditch in Kasba upazila Brahmanbaria on Friday (Mar 17).

The deceased were identified as Pavel Mia, 18, helper of the tractor's driver and Delwar Mia, 30, a pedestrian.

Mohammad Mohiuddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kasba Police Station confirmed the matter. 

He said a Tinlakhpeer area bound tractor fell into the ditch in Chandaisar area this afternoon after its driver lost control over his steering, leaving Pavel injured. It also hit pedestrian Delwar, leaving him dead on the spot.

Pavel died on the way to Kasba Upazila Health Complex, the official added.
