High Court (HC) granted bail to Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana on Thursday (April 6), in a case filed over the death and injury of workers on April 24, 2013.
The High Court bench of Justice Akram Hossain Chowdhury and Justice Shahed Nuruddin passed the order.
Advocate Quamrul Islam appeared at the court on behalf of the accused and confirmed the matter.
He said there is no obstacle to the release of Sohel Rana following the bail order.

As many as 1,136 redaymade garment workers died and many others injured when the 10-storeyed Rana Plaza collapsed on April 24, 2013 near Savar bus stand.
Five days after the incident, on April 29, Sohail Rana was arrested from Benapole in Jashore while fleeing to India.
