A woman died after falling from her father's motorcycle at Gangni upazila in Meherpur district on Friday (April 7) morning.

The deceased was Baby Khatun, 40, wife of Tushar Ali, a resident of Raipur village of the upazila.

Locals said Baby Khatun and her father were going to Bamandi from Chokhtala riding on a motorcycle early in the morning. On the way, Baby fell on a brick pile on road from the back of the motorcycle in Chokhtala area of the Meherpur-Kushtia highway, leaving her seriously injured.

Gangni Police Station officer-in-charge Abdur Razzak confirmed the matter.
