The government of Bangladesh today (April 22) issued a travel alert for its citizens in Sudan in the wake of the violent clash.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the political and defence standoff has led to loss of innumerable lives and food supply interruption.
“Clash persists in Khartoum airport and adjoining areas. Travel to Sudan is not safe for our citizens. So, Bangladeshis are advised to avoid the conflict-hit country until further notice. The concerned ministries and departments are hereby informed of the alert,” it added.
Bangladesh Embassy in Khartoum has already cautioned expatriates in this regard.
