Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd said the gas smell that had spread at different areas in the capital on Monday has been solved.

Titas Metro Dhaka Revenue Division General Manager Md. Rashidul Alam confirmed the matter on Tuesday (April 25) around 10:30 a.m.

He also advised citizens to light their stoves without fear. 

"There was nothing to panic about. There were problems in some areas which has been solved now," said Rashidul Alam.

Earlier, residents of several areas including Moghbazar, Badda, Bashabo, Dhanmondi and Hazaribagh have complained gas smells on the streets. Following panic among people, Titas advised the residents not to light their stoves.
