Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted that mild heat wave is sweeping over many places of the country and it may continue and spread in 24 hours commencing 9 am today (April 26).
According to the Met office bulletin, "mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban and Patuakhali and it may continue and spread."
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added.
Day and night temperature may rise by (1-2)oC over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 37.7 degrees Celsius at Bandarban while today's minimum temperature 19.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
However, no rainfall recorded across the country during the last 24 hours.
The sun sets at 6.25pm today and rises at 5.27 am tomorrow in the capital.
