A Dhaka-bound goods-laden train derailed at Brahmanbaria's Dariapur area on Thursday (April 27) noon.
Following the derailment, the train services of Dhaka with Chattogram and Sylhet remained suspended.
Akhaura Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Alim Hossain Shikder confirmed the matter.
He said police rushed to the spot to look into the matter.
Train movement on the upline is temporarily halted, he added.
