A case has been filed against 17 persons three days after the murder of Jubo League leader Jamal Hossain in Daudkandi, Cumilla.

The deceased's wife Popi Akhter filed the case at Daudkandi police station at Tuesday (May 2) midnight. 

Some seventeen people, including nine named, have been made accused in the case.

Alamgir Bhuya, officer-in-charge (OC) of Daudkandi police station, confirmed the matter. 

He said the names of the accused cannot be disclosed for the sake of investigation. 

An operation is underway to nab the accused, he added.

On the night of April 30, Jamal Hossain, joint convener of Titas upazila Jubo League, was shot to dead in by three burqa-clad men Gouripur market of Daudkandi in Comilla.
