Dhaka city dwellers have been requested to avoid Airport Road for seven hours from Friday (May 5) night due to the ongoing construction of the flyover in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) made this request through a notification.

The CAAB has also requested all heavy and goods-laden vehicles to use alternative roads during that time.

According to the notification, vehicles movement on the Airport road will be restricted from 11:00pm on Friday to 6:00am on Saturday due to the construction work.

Earlier on April 28, Airport road was restricted for seven hours due to the construction work of the flyover.
