Two motorcyclists were killed on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Lalpur area of Feni Sadar upazila on Friday (May 5) morning.

The riders lost control over the vehicle and slipped off the road, according to information.

The deceased were identified as Md Shuva, 26, resident of Madarbari area of Uttar Khan in Dhaka, and Md Maruf, 26, of Dakkhin Khan area of the capital. 

Officer-in-Charge of Mohipal Police Station Md Mostafa Kamal confirmed the matter.

He said the two friends were going to Rangamati from Dhaka riding on the motorcycle on Thursday night and lost control and fell on the road on the highway in Lalpur area around 6.30am of Friday.

Locals rescued the injured and took them to emergency department of Feni Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said.

Police took the bike in their custody. Legal procedure is under process, the official added.
