Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershowers in different areas in the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today (May 6).
According to the Met office bulletin, rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.3 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar while today's minimum temperature was 20.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The highest rainfall was recorded 53mm at Maijdee Court in Chattogram for last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6:29pm today and rises at 5:21 am tomorrow in the capital.
