Case filed against Tito Rahman, Nazmus Saquib in cyber tribunal 

Mustafizur Rahman alias Tito Rahman and Nazmus Shaquib were sued for spreading rumors and false information on various online platforms including social media. 

Tushar Kanti Mondal, former General Secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan Awami League, filed the case as a plaintiff with the Cyber Tribunal in Rangpur on Sunday (May 7).

The other accused in the case are Ibrahim Ali and Anis Mia. At the same time, 8 to 10 unknown persons have been made accused in the case.

Accused Tito Rahman, son of Late Matinur Rahman of the capital's Jigatla area, is now residing in Canada. He introduced himself as the chief executive officer of a YouTube channel named Nagorik TV. Nazmus Saquib, son of Jalilur Azam of Sabujbagh area. Nazmus Saquib, currently an expatriate in the United States, introduced himself as the news editor of Nagorik TV.

The tribunal judge Dr Abdul Majid took the case into cognizance and asked the police super of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to look into the allegations.

Lawyers for the plaintiff in the case were Shammi Akhtar, Azgar Ali, Aminul Islam, Ahsan Habib Jewel and others while the lawyer for the state side was Ruhul Amin Talukder.

According to the complaint, the defendants are repeatedly spreading rumours, offensive, ugly, false, fabricated, misleading and anti-state information against Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy using various social media and online platforms including YouTube.

Not only the Prime Minister and her family members, the accused are also spreading misleading and false information against her relatives, various senior leaders of Awami League and various organs of the party. 

They are constantly spreading rumors even about the country's top businessmen.

Babu Tushar Kanti Mandal, the plaintiff in the case, said that those who insulted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on live at YouTube should be brought under the law. 

"I demand their speedy arrest and trial," he added. 

On the other hand, Sheikh Asif Hossain, general secretary of Rangpur Mohanagar Chhatra League, appealed for filing another case in the same court on the same issue. 

The court, however, set Monday (May 8) for hearing the appeal.

It is known that Mustafizur Rahman Tito alias Tito Rahman introduced himself as the chief executive officer of a YouTube channel called Nagarik TV broadcast from Canada while Nazmus Saquib as a news editor. They both left the country and fled to Canada after being charged with various crimes including rape and fraud.

They went there and got involved in the anti-national conspiracy. 

They started spreading rumors about the state, Bangabandhu, Prime Minister and other important people of the country on the online platform. 

Tito Rahman's entire family is anti-independence. His grandfather was a murderer during the liberation war of 1971 and his father was a razakar. 

Besides, Mustafizur Rahman had a good relationship with BNP-Jamaat since his childhood. Apart from his political identity, Mustafizur Rahman was known as a drug addict and oppressor of women in Dinajpur.

Mustafizur Rahman was punished for eve-teasing. And lastly, while studying at Dinajpur University College, a student accused him of rape allegation. 

On the other hand, Nazmus Saquib, who is involved with a rape incident which occurred in 2011. 

The incident of rape of a 5-year-old child happened in the Sabujbagh area of the capital caused a stir across the country. 

Investigation finds that she lost the power to speak after that brutal incident.

The speech-impaired girl is now fighting a brutal life. And, that rapist Nazmus Saquib is leading a lavish life in the USA.

The little child did not get justice even after taking legal steps. The rapist's family wanted to manage the child's father in exchange for money. But the victim's family wanted nothing but justice. They also filed a case. However, the rapist Najmus Saquib escaped the country with the power of his influential father Jalilul Azam.

According to an investigation, the child lived with her family in a shanty at 28 Mayakanan of Sabujbagh area in the capital’s Basabo. The father of the victim used to drive a CNG-run auto bike for rent. On the day, Nazmus Saquib, a drug addict, lured the small child with chocolates to take to his home at 28 Mayakanan. Then he took her to the roof and raped her several times. At one stage, Nazmus Shaquib left the child in the garage on the ground floor when excessive bleeding started. Then Bachchu Mia, the caretaker of the house, came forward after hearing the child's cry. Seeing the pathetic condition of the child, the local people gathered around the house. Later the child described the whole brutal incident.
