BCL leader now sues Tito, Saquib in cyber tribunal 

Another case was filed against four persons including Mustafizur Rahman alias Tito Rahman and Nazmus Shaquib for spreading rumors and false information on various online platforms including social media. 

The other accused in the case are Ibrahim Ali and Anis Mia. At the same time, 8 to 10 unknown persons have been made accused in the case.

Sheikh Asif Hossain, general secretary of Rangpur city Chhatra League, filed with the Cyber Tribunal in Rangpur on Monday (May 8).

According to the complaint, the defendants are repeatedly spreading rumours, offensive, ugly, false, fabricated, misleading and anti-state information against Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy using various social media and online platforms including YouTube.

Not only the Prime Minister and her family members, the accused are also spreading misleading and false information against her relatives, various senior leaders of Awami League and various organs of the party. 

They are constantly spreading rumors even about the country's top businessmen.

Sheikh Asif Hossain, the plaintiff in the case, said the offenders in the case are spreading misinformation in various ways to harm the country and the nation, and making indecent comments about Bangladesh Chhatra League.

They want to disrupt the democratic system of the country by spreading false information. For this reason, "I filed a case against them in hope of justice". He demanded quick arrest of the accused.

Ruhul Amin Talukdar, lawyer for the state of Cyber Tribunal Court said, taking the case into consideration, judge ordered the PBI SP to investigate the allegation.

Earlier on Sunday, the former General Secretary of Rangpur Awami League Tushar Kanti Mandal filed a case against the four people on the same charge.

The tribunal judge Dr Abdul Majid took the case into cognizance and asked the police super of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to look into the allegations.
