Charles Whiteley, ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Bangladesh said they don't have any intention to interfere in Bangladesh's internal politics.

Whiteley, however, said they are here to meet, and listen to all political parties to understand the current situation not to mediate or interfere.

The envoy said the EU wants to see "free and fair" elections in Bangladesh without any violence as all Bangladeshis want to see the same.

He made the remarks while briefing media regarding making the European Day at a city hotel this afternoon.
