A Rohingya man was shot dead allegedly and another injured during an attack by miscreants at a Rohingya camp in Ukhiya of Cox's Bazar. 

The incident took place in the A-11 block of Balukhali No. 9 Rohingya camp of Palongkhali union on Thursday (May 12) night.

The deceased was identified as Kobir Ahmed, 35, who hailed from G-Block of Kutupalong No. 7 Rohingya Camp.

The injured was identified as Mohammad Rafiq, 30, a resident of C-2 Block of Rohingya Camp Number 2-East of Lambashia Upazila. He was a friend of Kobir. 

Additional Deputy Inspector General (ADIG) Syed Harunur Rashid, Commander of the 8 Armed Police Battalion (APBN) confirmed the matter.

ABPN police is investigating the matter, the official added.
