At least three people were killed and another critically injured in a collision between two trucks in Sylhet's Osmaninagar Upazila on Monday (June 12).

The incident happened around 4:50 am on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Nij Kuria area of Doyamir Upazila.

Of the deceased, two were identified as truck helpers and another was the driver. The details of them could not be known immediately, Banglanews correspondent reports.

The injured Joshim, 35, son of late Abdur Rahman, a resident of Baini village of Shingair police station in Manikganj, is a truck driver.

Osmaninagar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Masudul Amin said a Sylhet-bound truck collided with another truck stationed on the roadside, leaving three people dead on the spot.

Injured Joshim has been taken to hospital for treatment and Highway police is investigating the matter, he said.
