Two killed while filming on moving train in Akhaura

Two young men lost their lives, and two others were critically injured after falling from the roof of a moving train while recording a video near the Mogra Railway Bridge in Akhaura, Brahmanbaria on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Kaiyum Mia (22) from Comilla and Tareq Mia (20) from Brahmanbaria. 

The injured, Ikram Hossain (18) and Billal Mia (25), are in critical condition.

According to railway police, the accident occurred around 11:30 AM when the group was filming a TikTok video on the Sylhet-bound Paharika Express. 

They reportedly came into contact with overhead electric cables, causing them to fall.

Kaiyum died on the spot, while locals rescued the injured. 

Tareq succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital. The remaining two victims have been referred to Dhaka for advanced treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and the bodies have been sent for autopsy.
