DHAKA: The rail communications were suspended countrywide by rail authority apprehending violence of Jamaat-Shibir as the war crimes convict Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah had been hanged on Thursday night.

The rail authority made the announcement around 11:00pm for the sack of public security and also to save national property.

Earlier, Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah was executed at Dhaka Central Jail at 10:01pm on Thursday.

Jamaat-Shibir activists started violence countrywide protesting Mollah’s execution.
