DHAKA: Activists of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, set fire to a passenger bus in capital’ Jatrabari area on Saturday morning.

The violent incident took place at around 9:10am.

But none was reportedly injured in the incident.

Witnesses said some Shibir activists brought out a brisk procession in Kutubkhali area of Jatrabari and vandalized and torched the bus of Utsab Poribahan coming from Naraynaganj.

On information, police rushed to spot and brought the fire under control with the help of locals.

Jatrabari thana officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
