An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Dhaka on Sunday (September 17) afternoon.

The earthquake was felt at 12:50pm.

The epicentre of the quake was 14km from Sakhipur upazila of Tangail, according to Google.

No damage had been reported at the time of writing.

Earlier, around 8:50pm on August 14, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake was felt across the country including the capital.
