A Dhaka University (DU) student died after falling from the roof of 'Bijoy Ekattor Hall' early Wednesday (September 20).

Deceased Kazi Firoz, was fourth year student of Foreign Language department at DU.  No injury marks were found on his body.

Doctors at the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) declared Firoz dead after he was taken there around 1am.

According to a friend of the deceased, "Firoz used to live at Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall. Hearing a sound, we went out of Bijoy Ekattor Hall and found Firoz lying on the ground floor and, later, took him to the hospital."

"It was not clear yet whether Firoz 'committed suicide' or carelessly slipped down from the Bijoy Ekattor Hall. There were no injury marks on his body."

The hospital police camp in-charge Bachchu Miah said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
