RANGPUR: Rail communication of Rangpur with the capital city was halted due to derailment engine a Lalmonirhat-bound container train in Babu Para area of the divisional city on Sunday morning.

Sources said that this accident occurred at around 9:45am.

Confirming the matter, Rangpur Rail station Master Muzammel Haque told banglanews that on information, a relief train is coming from Lalmonirhat.

The rail service may be resumed at noon after rescue the train and clear the track.
