DHAKA: Former adviser for the caretaker government Dr Akbar Ali Khan has joined in Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) as trustee board member.

He joined at the 79th meeting of the trustee board. Earlier, at the 78th meeting, he was selected as board member unanimously.

The former cabinet secretary completed his post graduate degree in History from the Dhaka University, Masters and PhD in Economics from Queens University of Canada.

He had joined in Pakistan Civil Service in 1967 and he was the deputy secretary of the then Provisional Government of People’s Republic of Mujibnagar.

In 2001, he retired from civil service as cabinet secretary.
