2 siblings chopped dead in M’bazar

MOULVIBAZAR: Two siblings were chopped to death by their rivals over land dispute at Bordhapasha village under Kulaura upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Alfo Mia, 45, and Masuk Mia, 45, son of late Zoad Mia.

Cormadha UP chairman Abdus Sahid told banglanews that Alfo Mia and Masuk Mia had a longtime dispute with Sunddar Ali over a piece of land.  Sunddar Ali went to occupy the land at around12am but Masuk and Alfo protested him.

At one stage of altercation, Sunddar Ali along with his supporters chopped the two brothers indiscriminately, leaving them seriously injured.

Later, locals rushed them to Kulaura Health Complex where on duty doctor declared them dead.
