HABIGANJ: Former Member of the Parliament from Habiganj-3 constituency Abu Lais Mobin Chowdhury died of cardiac arrest at his residence in the district town on Friday morning.

He was 72.

Mobin Chowdhury joined in politics with the patronization of former President HM Ershad.

The veteran politician left wife, three sons and well-wishers to mourn his death.

He was elected for three-term as Member of Parliament with the ticket of Jatiya Party and joined BNP on 2001. Later, he was elected as MP in by-poll in 2005.
