DHAKA: US ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena paid an unofficial visit at Jahangirnagar University campus on Friday morning to see migratory birds.

The US envoy reached at the sanctuary of guest birds around 7:30am.

He observed the birds through binocular in the lake behind the Academic Building and Jahanara Imam Hall of the varsity.

University’s Zoology department professor also bird specialist Mohammad Mostafa Firoz and head of the department professor Sajeda Begum were also present during the time.

Professor Firoz told banglanews, “Mozena goes to different parts of Bangladesh to see guest birds. In line with the tour, the bird lover paid a visit to the campus.  

Mozena visited the campus without any protocol as he had no official programme, he added.
