DHAKA: Veteran lawyer Barrister Rafiqul Haque on Monday categorically said the dignity of the Supreme Court is demolished through the attacks in the apex court.  

The senior lawyer of the Supreme Court came up with the observation while talking to journalists at Supreme Court.

Criticizing the recent attack on lawyers and Supreme Court, he said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is responsible for the deterioration of recent law-and-order situation as she is now charge of the ministry.”  

He added: “So, Sheikh Hasina is responsibile for the deterioration of law-and-order situation and the attack on countries apex court.”

Terming ‘March for Democracy’ called by BNP as democratic right, he said, “The government obstructed the democratic programme.”

Barrister Rafiqul also urged the authorities concerned to postpone the upcoming election and expected the participation of opposition BNP 10th parliamentary polls.
