CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Unpazila Bonik Samity president was burnt to death in his business institution after some masked men set fire to it in Sibganj upazila of the district on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Alhaz Enamul Haque, President of Sibganj upazila industry and Bonik Samity, also supporter of ruling Awami League.

Sources said to banglanews that a gang of masked men torched Enamul Haque’s shop at around 7pm while he was staying there and burnt alive after half an hour effort to escape from the fire.
 
On information, two fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused fire after four hour frantic effort and recovered the body.

Officer of Chapainawabganj RAB-5 Major Saif and Sibganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
