DHAKA: Uncertainty was looming over voting in some 14 centres outside Dhaka as miscreants burnt the ballot papers in those places here on Saturday.

Returning officers of the centres started sending letters to the EC seeking directives in this regard.

The centres according to the letters sent to EC are two each centres from Satkania of Chittagong, Nilphamari, Laxmipir and from Jessore, five from Dinajpur and one from Hobiganj.

Sources said decisions will be taken on Sunday as the Election Commissioner and election affairs secretary were absent in the office.
