DHAKA: The government has appointed Ehsan-e-Elahi as new Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Gaibandha district.

Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday.

As per the notification, Secretary of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Deputy Secretary) Ehsan-e-Elahi was appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Gaibandha district.

On Sunday, voting has been postponed in 206 polling centers due to violence during the 10th parliamentary elections.

On Monday, Election Commission (EC) ordered to withdraw Giabandha Deputy Commissioner and Police Super.
