The government relieved three assistant attorney generals from their posts in connection with scuffle centering the counting of votes in the Supreme Court Bar Association election.
Their appointment was cancelled through a notification signed by solicitor Runa Nahid Akhter as per the order of the President.
The order will be effective immediately, said the notification.
The three assistant attorneys general are Md Zakir Hossain, Kazi Bashir Ahmed and Shyama Akhter.
However, law ministry sources said the three were removed following Friday's violence centring the Supreme Court Bar Association election.
