DHAKA: Four people including a child died from Nipah encephalitis at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in last 10 days.

The deceased were Saidur Rahman, 45, Majnur Rahman, 5, Mazibur Rahman, 25 and Hasanuzzaman, 20.

Besides, five more affected were kept in close observation at ward no 36 and 14 of the RMCH.

RMCH Deputy Director Dr ASM Barkatullah told banglanews, “The virus affected patients were given treatment in separately.”

And the reports of five suspected Nipah virus infected patients’ were sent to Dhaka for further examine, he added.
