DHAKA: The Members of Parliament (MP) are going to get free laptops during the first session of 10th national parliament.

The laptops will be given to all MPs during the welcome session of Jatiya Sangsad scheduled to start on January 29 for their use of official and personal purpose.

Besides, the Jatiya Sangsad secretariat also will take necessary steps for those Members of Parliament who can’t able to operate laptops to make them skilled.

The technology-friendly government took the initiatives to make the official works fast and smooth. Using laptops MPs can communicate quickly through electronic mail (E-Mail).

Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Senior secretary Ashraful Makbul told banglanews, “The decision to provide laptops to the members of parliament had taken in the last session of ninth parliament. As per the decision, the lawmakers will be given laptop during the first session of tenth Jatiya Sangsad.”

The initiatives will take the nation a step forward on the way to digital Bangladesh, he added.
