DHAKA: The voting has begun of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) elections on Thursday morning.

Following the election, Jatiya Press Club area was decorated with posters, banners and festoons.

Some 2,531 voters are expected to cast their votes to elect 19 representatives of journalists from 38 aspirants.

The candidates from Faruk-Shaban parisad and Altaf-Kuddus Parisad are contesting for the posts.

On December 8, 2013, the election schedule was declared. And according to the schedule, the final list of candidates was published on January 18.
