Former Awami League MP Haji Mohammad Salim, who had fallen ill in police remand, was taken to court from Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Akhtaruzzaman issued the order following a court hearing.

A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police took him to the hospital at about 11:45 pm on Tuesday as he fell ill.

Then doctors advised him to be admitted to the hospital as his physical condition was not good.

A DB team conducted a raid at Bangshal area in the capital on Sunday night and arrested Haji Salim from there. Later, he was taken to DB office.
