The Newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin and four other election commissioners will take oath today (November 24) at the Supreme Court.

Shafiqul Islam, public relations officer of the Supreme Court, confirmed the matter to the media. 

The oath taking ceremony of the newly appointed chief election commissioner and other election commissioners will be held at the Supreme Court Judges' Lounge at 1.30pm today. 

Earlier on Thursday (November 21), former secretary AMM Md Nasir Uddin was appointed as CEC of the Bangladesh Election Commission.

Besides, four election commissioners were also named.

The commission includes former additional secretary Anwarul Islam Sarker, former district and sessions judge Abdur Rahman Masud, former joint secretary Tahmida Ahmad and Brigadier General (Retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah as commissioners.
