The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather across the country for the next 24 hours, starting from this morning (Dec 23).
The forecast, issued at 9 am today, indicates that the weather will remain dry with a partly cloudy sky over most regions.
The well-marked low-pressure area over the west-central Bay of Bengal has weakened into a low-pressure system and is no longer significant. A ridge of sub-continental high pressure extends over West Bengal and adjacent areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Light to moderate fog is expected in some areas during the midnight to morning hours.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to fall slightly, while daytime temperatures will remain nearly unchanged across the country.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature recorded was 30.5°C in Sitakunda, and the minimum temperature today was 10.4°C in Srimangal.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:18 pm today and rise at 6:38 am tomorrow.
