DHAKA: Students of Jagannath University (JnU) on Monday announced fresh programs after organizing a protest rally in front of the National Press Club.

The programs are a two-day mass signature collection from 9:00am to 1:00pm Tuesday, peaceful protest rally from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on the day and a submission of memorandum to the education ministry on Thursday.

Jagannath University Unit President of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the front organization of ruling Awami League, SM Shariful Islam declared the programs from the rally.

The unit’s Chhatra League’s general secretary SM Sirajul Islam and Bangladesh Chhatra Union general secretary Lucky Akter, among others, attended the rally.

The new programs aim to free the university’s occupied Tibet Hall and to take action against Lalbagh Zone DC Harunur Rashid and Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge Moniruzzaman.
