ISHWARDI: A seven-year child was slaughtered in Ishwardi upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Rahim, 7, son of Jaglu Shah, hailed from Maniknagar village of the upazila.

Locals said the Rahim went to adjacent Litchi garden where a youth named Rasel raped him and hacked with a grass scissor.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Thana Biman Kumar Das told banglanews, “Killer Rasel confessed everything.”

A murder case was filed with the thana in this connection, he added.
