A total of 1,308 individuals have been arrested across the country during Operation Devil Hunt and other general drives conducted by law enforcement agencies.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Headquarters (Media & Public Relations) Inamul Haque Sagar confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Sunday (February 9) at 8:00 pm.

He said that the arrests were made between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon as part of nationwide operations.

To maintain law and order and bring criminals under legal action, the interim government decided to launch Operation Devil Hunt across the country on Saturday, he said.

The decision was made in a meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs, where law enforcement agencies coordinated their efforts, the official added.
