Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa Yousef Essa Al Duhailan has extended greetings to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Shaheed Dibash (Martyrs Day) and International Mother Language Day.

In a video message on Friday (February 21), the Saudi envoy conveyed his wishes in Bengali for the first time.

In his message, he said, "On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the people of Bangladesh. I pay my respects to Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage and wish for the country's progress, prosperity, and stability. May this day continue to inspire the preservation of all mother languages worldwide."

This marks the first time the Saudi ambassador in Dhaka has delivered a video statement in Bengali to commemorate the occasion.
