To facilitate smooth travel for Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Railway began selling advance tickets for intercity trains on Friday, starting with tickets for March 24.
 
As part of this process, tickets for trains departing on March 25 are available for purchase today (March 15).
 
Online sales began at 8:00 am for intercity trains operating in the western region of Bangladesh Railway, while tickets for the eastern region will be released at 2:00 pm.
 
For this year’s Eid journey, 35,935 seats have been allocated for trains departing from Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Railway’s special action plan to ensure a hassle-free travel experience.
 
Passengers can purchase tickets for journeys on March 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 on March 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, respectively. Meanwhile, tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 will be sold based on the moon sighting.
