JHINAIDAH: A man was killed and five other were injured in a road accident at Kalalazmipur under Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Sahodeb Kumar Kundu, 55 son of Gokul Chandra Kundu of Sadar upazila.

The injured were admitted to Jhinaidah Sadar Hospital.
Sadar thana officer-in-charge Iqbal Bahar Choudhury told banglanews, A night coach knocked down the auto-rickshaw carrying Sahodeb and five others  from behind in the area around 11:00pm, leaving one dead on the spot and injured others.

An unnatural death case was filed with Sadar thana in this connection, the OC added.
