The government has assured Dhaka residents that law enforcement agencies will remain highly alert during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to ensure safety.

Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry, Nasimul Gani expressed confidence that no unexpected incidents would occur during Eid holidays.

He made remarks while speaking to journalists after a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs at the Secretariat on Thursday (March 27).

Gani said law enforcers would be on duty despite the holidays.

The official said that homegoers for Eid holidays would enjoy a hassle-free journey, while those staying back would remain safe.

He said members of law enforcement agencies are coordinating with transport sector stakeholders to manage the holiday rush efficiently. 

The official expressed hope that everything would remain under control and prayed for divine blessings for a peaceful Eid.
