Bangladesh's Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Thailand's National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance international collaboration in combating corruption.
ACC Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen and NACC President Suchart Trakulkasemsuk signed the agreement today in Bangkok on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit, witnessed by Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
Dr. Momen expressed optimism that the MoU would aid in tracking corruption suspects and strengthening anti-graft efforts.
The agreement aligns with Article 48 of the UN Convention Against Corruption, promoting bilateral and multilateral cooperation in law enforcement.
Under the MoU, both nations will exchange critical information, share best practices, initiate joint projects, and enhance preventive measures against corruption.
