Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain has said Hajj flights from Bangladesh will begin on April 29.
He said the visa processing for pilgrims is already underway and expected to be completed soon.
Khalid Hossain shared the development during a press briefing at the Secretariat on Tuesday (April 8) w`hile discussing the latest preparations for this year’s Hajj.
The adviser said all formal arrangements for 5,200 pilgrims registered under the government management have already been completed. These include contracts for tents in Mina and Arafat, catering services, housing, and transportation in Saudi Arabia.
He said a total of 81,900 pilgrims have registered to perform Hajj this year through private agencies.
Dr Khalid said the Ministry of Religious Affairs closely monitored and followed up the registration and preparation process.
