DHAKA: Local people torched illegal shops set up in pavement in Laxmibazar area in old part of Dhaka city on Thursday morning demanding eviction of these shops and Laguna.

The incident took place around 8:45am.

Fire service control room said that on information, a fire fighting unit sent to the spot.
