DHAKA: The law enforcement agencies of the country including Dhaka Metropolitan Police have taken the highest security measures centering T-20 World Cup to be started from March 16.
A seven-tier security measures is planned where different intelligence agencies, Detective Branch of Police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and other forces of the country are working jointly to ensure the utmost security.
Two Robots are deploying by the DMP to get a better technological support to ensure security of players, visitors and viewers.
First match of the World cup will be held in the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on March 16. The other venues will be monitored with a highest supervision of the law enforcers as well.
Additional Inspector General of Police Jalal Uddin Ahmed said that the law enforcers are in an alert position to face any threat.
Police sources said that Bangladesh nation is a true lover of cricket so the security is tight to provide a safer environment to the cricket loving people. Monitoring Towers are set up to observe the overall situations around the venues.
There will also be a control room of DMP to measure the security issues in the stadium.
Confirming the matter State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that the highest security measures were taken regarding T-20 World Cup.
