MOULVIBAZAR: William Hanna, Ambassador and Head of delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh, exchanged views with the teagarden workers in Sreemangal upazila of the district.
The meting held at the auditorium of Tea Board over the development of livelihood and working environment of the workers on Monday noon.
Hanna said tea garden area has tourism value along with production of tea and this is why it is necessary to develop the livelihood of garden workers.
They also could work to build a happy and prosperous country if their condition is changed, added Hanna.
General Secretary of Society for Environment and Human Development (SEHD) Philip Gain, Sylhet division chairman of Bangladesh Tea Sangsad GM Shibly, tea worker leader Bijoy Bunarji and Ram Bhajan Koiry were among others present on the occasion.
