As part of a nationwide crackdown to maintain law and order, police arrested 1,744 individuals across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Police Headquarters.

Of the total, 1,130 were detained in connection with previous cases and pending warrants, while 614 were arrested on various criminal charges.

Law enforcement also seized a range of illegal firearms, including one foreign-made pistol, one revolver, three pistols, one local shooter gun, three local LGs, three magazines, and 38 rounds of ammunition.
